Pāuatahanui General Ward
The Porirua City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 10 councillors and the mayor. Councillors are elected to represent wards (areas in the city). Four councillors will be elected from the Pāuatahanui ward. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Why I'm standing

After three years on council, I still have more to give to our beautiful city to continue the improvements that are slowly taking place. I am not afraid to make the tough decisions that need to be made to make our city better, while making our rates affordable for all.

About me

I have lived and worked locally all my life, I am in touch with the community on a daily basis and know what their concerns are. I understand governance and am a team player willing to work with the future council to get the best outcomes for our city.

My priorities
  1. Provide greater investment in our roading and water infrastructure.
  2. Reduce unnecessary spending on nice-to-haves to prioritise need-to-haves.
  3. Invest in protecting our harbour from pollution to improve the heart of our city.
