Why I'm standing

This term I've fought hard for action on climate, environment, infrastructure, and affordable housing, and I'm proud of what we have achieved. We've delivered a long-term climate strategy, doubled our investment in flood resilience, accelerated our streamside planting program, boosted investment into water infrastructure and zoned for better housing density. There's still more to do, and I'm asking for your support so I can continue to deliver. For leadership and delivery vote 1 Josh Trlin.

About me

I have a track record of leadership and delivery on climate, infrastructure, environment, housing, and workers' rights. I don't bend under pressure – I'll always fight to deliver on my mandate from voters. I have a double degree in law and commerce from Victoria University, and work experience both as a lawyer and as a union organiser. My education, professional background and experience on council this term means I'm well placed to deliver for voters.

My priorities
  1. Future-proof Porirua against the climate crisis, and halve our emissions by 2030.
  2. Ramp up protection and restoration of our harbour, our greatest environmental taonga.
  3. Focus our investment in core infrastructure, especially water and transport.
