Why I'm standing

To work towards a more holistic and positive approach to governance. Bringing together our community boards, council, iwi and community in a way that engages and delivers for all our communities.

About me

I have extensive experience of governance in large metropolitan councils. Here in Ruapehu I have been a Community Board member in National Park and Waimarino Waiouru for six years and chair of my local community group Raetihi Promotions. This has given me an understanding of locals issues and the needs of our communities. This has also given me the experience of working with various groups and to achieve positive outcomes for our communities.

My priorities
  1. Ensure we as a council deliver on our core services to our community.
  2. Ensure we work effectively with our enlarged community boards and they are properly supported.
  3. To work with government to ensure we are properly funded and able to support our communities.
