Tawa Community Board

The Tawa Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Wellington City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of eight members: six members elected by voters, and two councillors from the Wellington City Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Tawa Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I grew up in Tawa, and I've spent the last three years on the Tawa Community Board advocating for the things that matter most for our community. I'm running for another term because I know there is more work to do on the issues that matter.

About me

I've spent the last three years building up the connections within and outside of the council that make me an effective advocate for local issues. I've got a great working relationship with key officers, as well as with other elected members, and I'll build on those to push for what we need.

My priorities
  1. Support our rangatahi, with action on the issues they care about, not empty platitudes.
  2. Advocate for the housing we need, in inclusive developments that build community.
  3. Encourage local action on climate change and environmental issues.
