Why I'm standing

I'm standing to make a difference for the district I've lived in my whole life and believe I bring credible skills and acumen to be an effective councillor as we charter our district's future strategic direction. It has been 66 years since a youth has been elected to as Timaru councillor. It is time to make up for lost decades with a younger perspective around the council table too.

About me

I bring credible skills across governance, advisory, non-profit, and chairmanship roles in the district. Having served on boards, parent/teacher and community engagement, and youth engagement roles and representation, I bring a diverse skill set to make a constructive and collaborative difference. This coupled with my degrees and post graduate degrees from both Canterbury and Lincoln universities gives me sufficient acumen to be make informed and considered decision making.

My priorities
  1. Growing and diversifying our district's economy. We need more people to pay down a burgeoning debt.
  2. Ensure youth can be part of our district's future through Young Enterprise and Youth Council.
  3. Ensure our environment is protected, and enhanced through tree planting, cycle and walkways.
