Why I'm standing

I truly believe Upper Harbour Local Board does amazing work for our community. I am passionate about serving others, about seeing local businesses thrive, about representing the ethnic communities. My desire is to create cohesive communities where members feel free and empowered enough to approach the board with suggestions for improvement and their ideas for improvement. My motivation is the chance to work with the team to create a better quality of life within Upper Harbour Local Board.

About me

I am a natural people person. I am out-going by nature and quite enjoy networking or as we say "connecting the dots." My years in the business of communications and marketing have made me acutely aware of the importance of public messaging, timing and frequency as also newer forms of outreach – digital and social platforms, which are now the norm. To be able to look after your community, you ought to connect with them.

My priorities
  1. Staying in touch. Being the connective tissue. Listen and learn. Embrace transparency and openness.
  2. Work on building a public swimming pool/ exercise gym within Upper Harbour and 100% support the Upper Harbour Marine Centre.
  3. Increase visibility of our police and community patrols. Work on best practice for public safety.
