Why I'm standing
First and foremost, Upper Harbour is my home. When I grew up it was mostly orchards, now it is in the stages of an urban adolescence. I want to do my part to see it grow into a place I continue to want to live in.
About me
I have already served two terms on the board, and I have a good understanding of the processes you need to go through to get things done. I have strong values and reasoned ideas that I constantly test by being open to others through debate. But most of all my work ethic is proven by commitment to my volunteer activities, on top of paid employment.
My priorities
- Develop a circular economy plan for Upper Harbour. To create economic growth by reducing waste.
- Plan how we can better use reserves to provide recreation for all ages while increasing tree cover.
- Advocate for council investment that will make greenfield developments sustainable communities.
