The Waimāero Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Christchurch City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of nine members: six members elected by voters, including two members from your area, and three councillors from the Christchurch City council. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.   • Work with regulators and other agencies to remove chlorination from our drinking water system.

    Initiate waste minimisation plans and recycling methods. Reduce food waste to 50% by implementing new policies within the next three years.

    Make sure that all the new infrastructure developments are based on sustainability and carbon free such as using solar energy.

  • Increase use of organic pesticide (goes with phasing out Round Up etc).

    Increase aquifer taps with pure drinking water.

    Maintain same level of grass cricket pitches.

  • Reduce chlorination.

    Minimise wastage of water.
