Why I'm standing

We have a dysfunctional and broken relationship with Queenstown Lakes District Council (QLDC). Wānaka remains unheard, whilst the largest contributor of income. I feel I can assist in rebuilding this relationship from community to QLDC. We have amazing people in our community who remain unheard. We need to celebrate these people, allow them to speak and be heard. We have amazing organisations in our community which are available to help with the rebuild of this relationship, listen and work together.

About me

I have been in business for 40 years plus, I have born and raised three children, I have a love for community and a passion for improving our environment of which we live in. I have an ability to listen, be open and available to others opinions. I celebrate diversity and admire the younger people who have the courage to step up, persist in their beliefs, and move forward with their vision.

My priorities
  1. Heal with the community from the pandemic, provide support, reach out to those who are struggling.
  2. Work towards a new relationship with Queenstown Lakes District Council to rebuild the trust lost from the community.
  3. Form a community plan for the future use of all parks and reserve spaces in Wānaka.
