  • With my farming background, I know there are concerns about the future of our environment.

We need to make sure our own backyard is clean, then work with agencies to address identified problems.

I want to create a mayoral task force to focus on environmental issues, as happens in other cities.

  • Wastewater disposal. Rural/urban policies. Where/how/why.

Water Treatment. Sustainability/supply/fluoride treatment – water quality.

    Solid Waste – landfill/future/minimisation

  • Invest funding in remediation of waterways. Track and improve waste water discharge points.

Improve funding for feral pest eradication. Take a no excuse option. Encourage the regional council to grow their investment in field work.

Improve waste minimisation at the source. Penalise big companies that do not buy into this concept.
