Why I'm standing

I'm in it for the power and money! Yeah, right. I just can't bear to stand by and watch any longer. We need innovation, creativity and real solutions driven by ideas, not ideology. That means it's time to get off the sidelines and into the game. I want council to fight for the people it represents. We're in a cost of living crisis with a Government that's gone MIA. We must do better.

About me

I'm a great advocate and a really effective communicator. I can smell BS a mile off, and council is redolent. My values are New Zealand old school. I believe in community power, equal access to opportunity, free speech and the truth, Keynesian economics, and the inherent goodness of people. I've always kept my promises, know when to say sorry, and do a good line of banter. A vote for me is a firebrand for change.

My priorities
  1. Make better decisions for better outcomes by prioritising ideas, not ideology, as council has to do much better.
  2. Support local businesses and local life as we can and must do better at this.
  3. Increase funding to community gardens, allow edible berms and develop artesian water.
