Why I'm standing

I am running because I've seen how predetermined decisions and budget cuts leave communities like ours exposed. After experiencing the impact of the 2023 floods, I know how urgent it is to prepare better for the challenges ahead. As a local mum and small business owner, I want to stand up for practical decision-making so Devonport-Takapuna has a strong, independent voice and a more resilient future.

About me

I am an associate chartered accountant with a postgraduate certificate in forensic and investigative auditing. I know how to scrutinise budgets and ensure resources are used wisely. I have attended several local board meetings to learn the ropes. Having sat on the board of my community center, I understand the importance of balancing financial responsibility with people focused outcomes. I bring a no-nonsense, practical, common-sense approach to decision making.

My priorities
  1. Advocate for stronger flood protection along Wairau Creek to safeguard homes and businesses.
  2. Support cleaning up Lake Pupuke to improve water quality, biodiversity and safe recreation.
  3. Maintain and upgrade community facilities to keep them safe, welcoming and fit for the future.
