A Fresh Approach

| Deputy Chair Devonport-Takapuna Local Board

Why I'm standing

I am the current deputy chair of the local board and I want to continue to serve my community for three more years. This term, I have been instrumental in delivering for our community including saving local funding from budget cuts, refurbishing council facilities, leading staff for more careful spending, cleaning up our environment and beaches, empowering our local economy and ensuring we live in a place people feel proud of and thrive in.

About me

I bring expert governance and business skills, careful financial management and an evidence driven approach to decisions. I have a 'get it done' attitude with a collaborative approach to solving issues. Having worked within council and the private sector, I know how to get results. I am approachable, listen, act with integrity and don't get drawn into petty politics. Positive and future focused. I have three kids and love improving our area for future generations.

My priorities
  1. Careful financial management and an evidence driven approach to decisions.
  2. Stop local budget cuts and get more funding allocated from central council to the local area.
  3. Invest in environment, water, events, wellbeing, community centres, library, pool and transport.
