Why I'm standing

I have the skills, experience and energy we need for our district thrive over the long term. The world we live in is increasingly complex and we need people who can navigate that complexity and make sound, reasoned decisions.

About me

I have a strong track record in governance and public service - from commercial and corporate law, senior roles in programme leadership and regional development and almost 4 years as CE to the district's economic development agency. I have worked with business, iwi and community leaders to understand what is important for our community and to deliver projects that will make a difference for our people.

My priorities
  1. Focus on a safe and strong community, thriving local businesses and our young people seeing a future here.
  2. Focus on financial discipline with prudent, smart investment and keeping costs under control.
  3. Balance growth by balancing the needs of today against the investment required for the future.
