Why I'm standing

I often hear the struggles from businesses trying to find staff and workers because of Kaikōura's lack of accommodation. This is a serious issue we need solutions for. As a tourist town, our population surges over the summer season, and at the same time, more people are wanting to settle here permanently. We must plan smarter to support both our workforce and our growing community.

About me

I've lived in Kaikōura for over 35 years and raised my family here. Over that time, I've seen first-hand the growth and challenges our town has experienced. With a strong background in business and service on many boards, I'm committed to bringing my experience, knowledge, and community focus to this role if elected.

My priorities
  1. Housing.
  2. Provide support for elderly community members by ensuring access to safe, warm and affordable housing.
  3. Jobs and growth.
