Why I'm standing

I believe it is time for change. Manurewa recently missed out on valuable central government funds - millions in road and footpath upgrades. Without the opportunities of funding from central government or regional sources, our communities have been left dependent on modest discretionary transport budgets. I am committed to fighting for every dollar available to meet our infrastructure needs including the Waiata Shores to Wattle Downs footbridge, Clendon Reserve and the Puhinui Stream Regeneration Project.

About me

I have spent two decades shaping the local business environment, transforming Wiri into one of the region's largest business associations—a legacy I am building upon in my current leadership at Business Manukau. My expertise is in budgets, financial management and governance, with an intricate knowledge of council operations. For nine years, I supported the Beautification Trust, including seven years as board chair. Under my leadership the trust expanded its reach and earned many awards.

My priorities
  1. Maintain existing assets to prevent losses like Tadmor Hall and ensure long-term community use.
  2. Tackle roaming dogs to make streets safer for kids, people walking and using public transport.
  3. Continue Puhinui Stream work, walkway linking The Gardens and Hillpark to Wirihana and Manukau.
