Why I'm standing

I am seeking re-election to the Community Board and I'm standing for Council. I was born and live here in Rangiora. I love this district and, along with the rest of the McLaren family, we are actively involved with many community groups. Supporting volunteers, businesses, recreation and the arts is important to me.

About me

I care about the wellbeing of people. I am a Restorative Justice Facilitator and Justice of the Peace, so I listen and act in ways that are helpful and meaningful for the people I work with. This thinking also applies to the Community Board – always working for the good of the community.

My priorities
  1. Ensure rates increases are kept to a minimum without compromising the current levels of service.
  2. Provide a safe and inclusive environment that welcomes everyone to the district.
  3. Strongly oppose road tolls on the new SH1 Woodend Bypass. Already pay tax and road user charges.
