Why I'm standing

I am proud to call Rangiora home where I live with my family and actively contribute to our vibrant community. I am passionate about our district and want to be part of the decision making to shape the future of our communities for future generations to enjoy. It has been a privilege to serve my first term on the Rangiora-Ashley Community Board where I am dedicated to making a positive difference in our community.

About me

With 25 years governance experience, I have held many board positions, led a variety of successful projects and community events and served as chair of Southbrook School Board for multiple years. Following the Canterbury earthquakes, I was awarded the MoH volunteer award for my work with Canterbury Plunket, recognising my commitment to community wellbeing and dedication to my volunteer role.

My priorities
  1. Advocate strongly for a food forest and am thrilled to see plans for one in Northbrook.
  2. Oppose firmly the Whiterock Quarry landfill proposal.
  3. Commit to finding better ways to encourage effective recycling to form good daily habits.
