Why I'm standing

I am running for election because having been involved with the council for the last five years I feel the community have been forgotten and I think that I can help to bring the council back to community-centric decision making. I am passionate about making a difference and will bring 100% effort, attention and tenacity to this work. We need a new council and we need change.

About me

I have lived in Lincoln for 22+ years and raised my family here. I am hugely involved with the community through my work with Lincoln Voice. I have advocated and petitioned on many issues including protecting our highly productive land; medium-density rezoning; trees; safer roads, crossings and intersections; lack of infrastructure; safe water; the WSCCO; community facilities and activities; community representation; few police; and heritage buildings. I am also a passionate community patroller with CPNZ.

My priorities
  1. Have genuine consultation to listen to the community.
  2. Reduce predicted rates rises so that Selwyn remains an affordable place to live.
  3. Ensure safe, uncontaminated drinking water for communities.
