Why I'm standing

I'm running for council because I want to serve my community and help Selwyn grow in a way that delivers better lives and outcomes — economically, environmentally, and socially — for all people, now and for the future. I believe in true representation: listening, connecting, and responding to community needs. To achieve this, we need robust governance, independent thinking, and the courage to make brave decisions that protect what matters to our community.

About me

Since moving to Ladbrooks 13 years ago, I've been actively involved in our local communities, including Playcentre, the rugby club, and Ladbrooks School, in executive and volunteer roles. I bring broad professional experience in consultancy, self-employment, and employment, working with iwi, local and central government, and community partners. With a background in project management, marketing, leadership, and budget management, and a down-to-earth attitude, I believe I am well-equipped to serve Selwyn with integrity and commitment.

My priorities
  1. Reprioritise projects and services, review budgets and reduce rate rises to improve affordability.
  2. Ensure the Water Services CCO delivers safe, reliable water management, protecting Selwyn's most vital resource.
  3. Find better solutions for sustainable development and fairer developer contributions to fund infrastructure.
