Tawa Community Board

The Tawa Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Wellington City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of eight members: six members elected by voters, and two members from the Wellington City Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Tawa Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I love living in Tawa and have chosen to live and raise my family here. We have a powerhouse of skills and people in our suburb. I'm keen to make sure we keep building our community for the needs of everyone and for the needs of the future.

About me

I am a resident of Tawa for 12 years. I'm raising my family here and we have close connections to the community. I have a professional background in environment, sustainability and climate adaptation and am an environmental scientist by background. I also have some governance experience. I'm keen to use my skills and insight to make sure that our community is thinking ahead and preparing for the future.

My priorities
  1. Keep the community engaged and involved in decisions that affect our suburb.
  2. Increase awareness around climate change and explore how we can and want to adapt.
  3. Make sure that Tawa maintains its position as a great community to live in and be part of.
