Tawa Community Board

The Tawa Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Wellington City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of eight members: six members elected by voters, and two members from the Wellington City Council.  This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Tawa Community Board election.

Why I'm standing

I spent the first half of my life in Tawa, I care about the place, and recently returning I felt the need to engage and contribute back to the community that helped form me. Participation and giving back is important.

About me

With a wide range of life experiences, as a senior conservation manager, a well-known professional photographer, business owner, expedition guide to remote polar regions, small farmer and parent, I'm good at understanding issues and focusing on sensible solutions.

My priorities
  1. Understanding community aspirations, issues and needs is my top priority as a first-time candidate.
  2. Contribute to Tawa's livability and likeability, public transport, public spaces, events and image.
  3. Provide voice for Takapu Valley, a large portion of Tawa Community Board's area and catchment.
