Why I'm standing

I am out in our district every day, whether chairing Neighbourhood Support, designing and planting food forests, attending community events, or talking to local groups and businesses. I volunteered for St John and our local fire brigade during my time in the Waimakariri District. Shirley and I, as trustees of All Together Kaiapoi, helped with organising community events. For me, this is not about titles or showy recognition; it is about continuing the work that truly matters.

About me

I believe our district is growing rapidly and with that growth comes important decisions about housing, transport, infrastructure and services that affect our everyday lives. I want to continue helping shape a positive future that works for everyone while preserving what makes Waimakariri such a special place to live. Let's keep building a thriving, connected and resilient Waimakariri District.

My priorities
  1. Support education and build more food forests to address the growing issue of food insecurity.
  2. Find better ways to build a healthier district; sports clubs are struggling with reduced government funding.
  3. Create age-friendly communities by supporting participation, health services and improving transportation.
