Why I'm standing

I believe we live in a fabulous part of the country, where I have lived for most of my life. I believe watching residents on fixed incomes, struggling to survive with rising inflation and large rate increases, is heartbreaking. I believe as a council we need to do better for our community and leave future generations unburdened by massive debt.

About me

I have deep roots in this community. I grew up here, built successful local businesses and spent the last three years on the Kaiapoi-Tūāhiwi Community Board. I currently serve on seven local committees, giving me real insight into our area's needs and opportunities. My hands-on experience has shaped a practical, solutions-focused approach. I don't just listen, I act. I am committed to making our community better for today and future generations through strong, effective representation.

My priorities
  1. Reduce wasteful spending and commit to a zero rate increase in 2027/2028.
  2. Focus on community needs, not wants, returning to basics and strengthening financial oversight.
  3. Genuinely engage with the community to implement sustainable long-term planning.
