Why I'm standing

I believe the council has moved away from its core activities without first gaining a clear mandate from the community. I want to be part of Standing Together for Waimakariri – a team committed to bringing council back to basics, improving efficiencies and ensuring genuine consultation before major decisions are made. I believe our district deserves leadership that listens, acts responsibly and focuses on delivering real value for the people who live and work here.

About me

I have lived and worked in Waimakariri for many years and am deeply connected to our community. My background includes leading multi-million-dollar businesses, serving in local governance and volunteering in community initiatives. I value honesty, respect and listening to all perspectives. I am approachable, practical and committed to working hard for the people I represent. These experiences and values will help me serve with integrity, transparency and a genuine focus on what matters to our district.

My priorities
  1. Deliver a nil rates increase in 2027/28 to ease costs and prove council can live within its means.
  2. Focus spending on core services and infrastructure to meet needs, not wants.
  3. Improve consultation to ensure decisions reflect community priorities.
