Why I'm standing

I'm proud to call Rangiora home, our special place, I am a farmer who has always been community connected, I wear by heart on my sleeve. I care deeply about people's wellbeing and wanted to be part of the decision making that delivers positive outcomes for the district. I'm standing as your independent councillor to represent your views, advocate your concerns and voice your issues, I'm real and not afraid to be heard.

About me

A civic and community leader, I have always been actively involved in the community, from cub leader, junior rugby, hall committees, parkrun, and school board of trustees chair. My leadership and governance skills have developed from my involvement with NZ Young Farmers, including national president and a national finalist in the Young Farmer Contest. I have had experience as a councillor in local government and understand the workings and duties of council.

My priorities
  1. Oppose the proposed White Rock landfill, minimising the risks to the ecosystems and the environment.
  2. Manage growth and development with smart planning that also cares for the district's natural beauty.
  3. Support central government's Resource Management Act reforms to enable and enhance growing the local economy.
