Why I'm standing

I was born, raised and live here in Rangiora. I love this district and, along with the rest of the McLaren family, we are actively involved with many community groups and activities. As a councillor I will contribute even more to our local community, quickly responding to emerging issues.

About me

I care about the wellbeing of people. I am a restorative justice facilitator, so I listen and act in ways that are helpful and meaningful for the participants. This thinking is readily transferable to a council setting – always working for the good of the community.

My priorities
  1. Ensure rates increases are kept to a minimum without compromising the current levels of service.
  2. Provide a safe and inclusive environment that welcomes everyone to the district.
  3. Strongly oppose road tolls on the new SH1 Woodend Bypass as we already pay tax and road user charges.
