Why I'm standing
I have witnessed many changes to our ward, some good, some not so good. Radical new road designs, overuse of speed humps, over-engineered cycle lanes costing ratepayers millions. There are already traffic rules covering what you can and can't do entering pedestrian crossings and intersections. We need safe streets and communities, warm homes and the reinstatement of a Riccarton community constable.
About me
I have had strong connection with small communities and will use this experience to focus on our Riccarton ward. It is in my DNA: I care about people, have strong empathy and compassion. I will listen and do right by all our people.
My priorities
- Push hard for the reinstatement of a Riccarton community constable to create safer communities.
- Challenge overspending to reduce rates.
- Challenge over-intensified housing developments.
