Why I'm standing

I'm a Riccarton local with legal and governance experience, who's seen how hard it can be for residents and communities to be heard by decisionmakers. I'm running because I care about Riccarton, because this is where I experienced the earthquakes, and because I want to make sure that we can keep all the best parts of Riccarton far into the future.

About me

I'm currently finishing a law degree, I serve on the regional council's Youth Council, and I've been elected secretary of various organisations. I'm also a member of my local residents association and have recently joined its committee. I love connecting with people and hearing more about what drives them, and my multicultural experience is a huge advantage for this purpose. I hope to serve as an effective bridge for all our communities.

My priorities
  1. Push to be ready for Mass Rapid Transit and start on this as soon as funding is available to connect the city.
  2. Prepare for the next major disaster, whether it's an Alpine Fault quake or a weather event.
  3. Increase green space and tree cover as the population is growing and everybody needs these amenities.
