Mayor of Wellington

The mayor is the leader of the council. Their job is to promote a vision for the city and lead the development of the council’s plans, policies and budget. The mayor appoints the deputy mayor, establishes committees for particular topics, and appoints chairs for those committees. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper. Compare the candidates and their policies to decide who to vote for in the Wellington City Council mayoral election.

Why I'm standing

I am running because Wellington City Council has been taken over by clowns who do not understand the true issues facing our delightful city. I am running because our weather is atrocious, Courtney Place is far too dry, and there is not one singular cow on our streets. I am running because there is too much pessimism in council and nobody is advocating total, state-mandated optimism. I am running for a highly serious future.

About me

I am whatever you want me to be. Whichever way the wind blows, I will be there. I am the candidate who will do whatever you want, whenever you want it. Every candidate will cravenly pander to the will of the voters, but I am the only one who will admit it whilst also forcing you all to participate in ludicrous activities.

My priorities
  1. Better weather for Wellington. This wind, rain and cold gets in the way of the things that matter.
  2. Mandate optimism at all levels of government, starting with local government.
  3. Revitalise Wellington by paving Manners Street in gold and building a Courtney Place lazy river.
