Why I'm standing

I think Eastbourne is a unique community, love being part of the community, and want to give back. I delight in the proximity of the environmental and recreational assets of sea, hills and coast, and value our local shops, library and other services – we are lucky to be so well served and self-contained. My goal is to preserve what is great and unique while promoting appropriate development to encourage businesses to stay and thrive.

About me

I have a number of interests, project ideas and relevant skills which I'm keen to use to preserve and enhance our community. As a (semi retired) User Experience Designer I try to view issues as opportunities rather than problems, and also try not to criticise unless I can offer a solution. My experience so far as part of a team has been great and I'm keen to continue (although would continue even if not elected).

My priorities
  1. Improve community resilience and preparation through communication and information.
  2. Make healthy active recreation and transport as accessible as possible.
  3. Challenge our community to be the most environmentally responsible in New Zealand.
