Why I'm standing
Running for the community board is an opportunity to serve all the bays in Eastbourne, and its residents. I have a particular focus on our youth and the vital role they can play in developing our community. I will advocate with energy, compassion and commitment. I am concerned that council doesn't always act in good faith towards Eastbourne and I intend to hold it accountable.
About me
My years as a professional theatre and film practitioner, and my extensive experience working with children and youth, have developed a strong capacity to bring people together for a common cause and to draw the best out of them. Since moving our family to Eastbourne six years ago, I have volunteered in a wide range of local initiatives – swim club, scouts, Nourish and school activities. My skills and integrity will serve Eastbourne well.
My priorities
- Engage the voice of our youth to develop initiatives that support and integrate them better.
- Ensure the execution of Tupua Horo Nuku is to a standard that Eastbourne residents expect and want.
- Advocate passionately to council the clear preferences of the local community.
