Why I'm standing

I am confident business will be looked after, regardless of who is elected, we all need businesses to succeed for our region to grow. We know this. I want to ensure those who need help, who feel held down, who don't feel supported 'in' or 'by' their community, I want their perspective to be considered at that council/decision making meeting. That their perspective is considered heavily and thoroughly by all, then decide.

About me

Having worked in retail for over 30 years, including management, it has given me communication, leadership, mentoring, budgeting, time, delegation and prioritisation skills. Working with volunteers has shown me that empathy, honesty and trust are key when asking people to follow your vision. Personally, as a cancer survivor, I wish to advocate for anyone who is in a position of disadvantage through age, health, gender, orientation and circumstances outside of their control. KIM 4 YOU

My priorities
  1. Enforce the rights and exclusivity to services, parking and utilities for the disabled and elderly.
  2. Advocate for you. Bringing the voice of the average Hastings /Havelock North resident to the council.
  3. Action boy racers! Investigate appropriate measures to ensure the roads are safe for us and for them.
