Why I'm standing

I have been honoured to serve as your councillor for the past four years. But there is still much to do, which is why I'm standing for re-election. As a mum, I want Hastings to be a place where our children will want to (and be able to) live, work, and raise their families too. However, housing costs and employment opportunities are barriers to this – this is something I want to help change.

About me

As chair of Hastings District Council's District Development Committee, I've worked hard over the past four years (alongside council colleagues) to increase the number of sections available to house builders and drive employment opportunities through economic development. Connecting with the wider Hastings community, I'm a Hastings City Business Association board advisor, Positive Ageing Trust chair, Hastings Arts and Culture trustee, Youth Council mentor, certified Resource Management Act commissioner and have run two successful businesses for 18+ years.

My priorities
  1. Deliver quality homes for our people through medium density. Everyone deserves a place to call home.
  2. Protect our Natural Resources. Our future relies on our fertile soils, reducing waste and saving water.
  3. Create meaningful jobs for our people by supporting, attracting and growing business.
