Why I'm standing
I love West Auckland and I am committed to creating vibrant neighbourhoods that are safe and connected. For too long, West Auckland has received less than its central neighbours. I want to see prosperity and opportunity shared across all of Auckland. My heart is community and grassroots solutions. I will hold Auckland Council to account and voice the aspirations and concerns of the community I serve.
About me
It's an honour to currently serve as an independent on the local board. My husband Tuvalu and I live in Te Atatu and are the proud parents of three children. We have been local business owners for over 15 years and are well connected in our community. I have a strong track record of passionate representation and advocacy. This includes volunteering on the Rutherford School Board of Trustees, neighbourhood support, church leadership, and community projects/events.
My priorities
- Fight for the needed infrastructure to support the rapid growth in the area.
- Advocate for fast, frequent and reliable public transport and investment in cycleways.
- Empower and resource local community groups and mana whenua.
