Why I'm standing

I want to voice a Māori perspective at local board level and give people a fresh, motivated and enthusiastic candidate to vote for. I hope to encourage those who don't normally vote, to see in me someone who can represent them, whether it be my age, race or gender.

About me

I am proud to call myself a Coastie and will endeavour to work hard for positive outcomes for our community. In the past, I've supported many community initiatives in my role as a local radio announcer. I am a critical thinker, problem solver and have empathy for others. I enjoy working in a team environment and believe I am diplomatic, level-headed and fair.

My priorities
  1. Improve water quality for our beaches because they are taonga which must be protected.
  2. Support recreational events which create vibrant communities that people are proud to live in.
  3. Invest in a range of infrastructure to better connect suburbs with business districts.
