Why I'm standing

'Everyone deserves a good life.' As someone with a positive disposition, people and community are at the centre of everything I do. I believe our council has the responsibility to have an exciting and inclusive vision for our city. One that grows us all in heart and spirit, where positive relationships and partnerships are developed and nurtured. Our amazing young people are a key component in making our city all it can be.

About me

I have a proven track record of bringing people together, and have the vision, skills, knowledge and ability to make positive things happen. I have been involved in the establishment of several community initiatives. These include Murihiku Polyfest, the Matariki at Queens Park celebrations and the continued running of the annual Southland Primary Schools' Athletics Championships. My years of governance experience include Waverley Park School Board Chair, Chair for Learning Differences Aotearoa, and trustee for Arts Murihiku.

My priorities
  1. Fostering unity, transparency, inclusion, and partnership within our council and community.
  2. Utilise council and community expertise to continue to positively develop our city and province.
  3. Focus on wellbeing and the environment, supporting youth, elderly, families, and communities.
