Why I'm standing
I have lived in Manurewa for 33 years with four generations of my family. I want to build my future here and protect what I enjoyed while growing up. I also want to make sure that Manurewa is competitive so that we can attract some of the best talent in the world. We already punch above our weight in sport and the creative arts such as music. So let's extend that to other industries too.
About me
I bring nearly 15 years of experience as a director of the Crown. I know how to make tough calls and balance razor-thin budgets. I specialise in strategy and managing risk. Manurewa deserves leaders with the right mix of skills, not career politicians with their own agendas. I will put Manurewa first and help ensure that council responds to our needs and aspirations. We shouldn't be beholden to them.
My priorities
- Balance the books. We can't afford another rates increase. I will bring common sense to council.
- Safer communities. We need better surveillance and more lighting. Nobody should feel unsafe.
- Back our local businesses who create jobs and bring much needed investment to Manurewa!
