Why I'm standing

I strongly believe Napier is the best place to live, learn and grow. I will provide a strong voice for the community and will work hard and collaboratively with fellow councillors, stakeholders, and across councils to get wins for Taradale and Napier. I am a big advocate for the protection of the environment for the benefit of future generations. I will bring a different but complementary perspective to the local decision-making table.

About me

I have governance experience, having chaired this term's Napier City Council Māori Committee. I am the current chairman of the Ngāti Pārau Hapū Trust and the Marine Cultural Health Programme at the Port of Napier. With this experience, I will hit the ground running while working hard for the community.

My priorities
  1. Chlorine-free drinking water, improving water quality of waterways, greater treatment of wastewater.
  2. Better engagement and consultation processes with the community.
  3. Community safety.
