Why I'm standing
I believe Nelson is one of the best places to live in NZ and want to keep it that way. It offers a unique lifestyle at its own pace. The region has unique spaces such as: waterfront, our gardens and reserves, market places, unique businesses and a platitude of walks linking mountains to the sea. Unlike other cities around the world, most places can be accessed within ten minutes whether walking, cycling or driving.
About me
I have over 25 years of governance experience from holding many community based positions on boards, trusts and three years as an elected councillor for Nelson City Council.
My priorities
- Ensure council continues to build on genuine community engagement to strengthen working partnerships.
- Ensure rates affordability by reviewing income streams and projects are benefiting our region.
- Work with community leaders, iwi and business partners for future sustainability and economic growth.
