Why I'm standing

I was voluntold by a group of 16 people whom I deeply respect that I should stand as I am a former state kid who has a broad view of Aotearoa. Moving from house to house during my upbringing created an expert in me being able to explain and re-explain difficult topics amongst diverse groups ranging in cultures, values and ages.

About me

Once again, being a ward of the state as a kid gave me the wide perspective of an adult and forged an ability to be able to listen with no agenda in mind other than to listen. I will be good because I can see past duality. Life isn't yes or no – it's context and I'm great at getting the context from people to make shit happen.

My priorities
  1. Improve public transport, as a lot of our key concerns could be addressed from just that.
  2. Create a mental health and wellness policy for New Plymouth District Council to commit to.
  3. Increase the usage of our sports facilities in the smaller regional areas of Taranaki.
