The Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of seven members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. Four members will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper.     Replace activities involving animal exploitation with those promoting human participation in formal or informal sports.

    Extend safe and accessible pedestrian and cycle access to the Manukau Sports Bowl

  • Support and facilitate the 'Little India' cultural event in either Hunters Plaza or Old Papatoetoe Township.

    Support and facilitate programmes to meet a greater variety of recreation needs for youth, the elderly, and our changing ethnic communities.

    Investigate the construction of a Papatoetoe community centre.

  • Run a diversity festival in Manukau showcasing the many ethnic groups in our community.

    Continue to have free access to our pools for everyone.

    Work with clubs, schools and sporting organisations so that every child in a low-income family can play sport.
