Why I'm standing

I believe it is time for a fresh perspective and new energy for the local board. It is important to me that our elected representatives are making decisions based on what is best for our local area, not central government agendas. It is why I joined the WestWards team, as we are aligned only by our desire to provide independence and balance to our local boards. Spending our rates wisely, focused on the brilliant basics, not fluffy nice to haves.

About me

My experience in the private and public sector in leadership roles means I can work collaboratively and constructively with others, even when there are differing views. I have held responsibility for managing large budgets and driving efficiencies from every dollar invested. I am practical, solutions focused and resourceful when it comes to decision making. As a self-employed business owner I have the time, energy and commitment to serve on the local board.

My priorities
  1. Support safer streets and town centres with initiatives ranging from reducing crime to roaming dogs.
  2. Rejuvenate town centres to attract new retailers and local businesses, in turn boosting jobs.
  3. Get the brilliant basics right first with local board spending before the nice to haves.
