Henderson-Massey Local Board

The Henderson-Massey Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of eight members. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. About me

I have been dedicated to West Auckland since 1989. I am involved in governance, advocacy, and volunteer roles, including as Vice President of Waitakere Grey Power Association, Waitakere Ethnic Board member, community advocate for people with special needs and seniors. I am a radio talk host and a Justice of the Peace. I have held senior management roles and manage investment holdings.

My priorities
  1. Invest in modern, accessible and welcoming community facilities such as a second aquatic centre in northwest.
  2. Advocate for frequent, affordable and reliable integrated public transport system to manage traffic.
  3. Back local patrols and street lighting upgrades and work with schools to increase youth engagement.
