Why I'm standing

I'm running for Hutt City Council because this is my home. Born here and raised in Wainuiomata, I've lived across the Hutt Valley and seen the pride and spirit in every community. As a teacher and volunteer, I've worked alongside people of all ages and backgrounds, learning the value of teamwork, resilience and inclusion. My motivation is simple, I care deeply about the Hutt and want to serve the people who make it special.

About me

I will make a good Hutt City councillor because I'm authentic, practical and community-minded. I have lived and taught in many of our communities, giving me genuine insight into our people. Through my work as a teacher, Duke of Edinburgh Award leader and volunteer on school boards and sports clubs, I understand governance, teamwork and service. I'm not driven by politics but by a commitment to represent everyday Hutt residents.

My priorities
  1. Ensure every dollar of ratepayer money is spent wisely, delivering real value for Hutt communities.
  2. Build safer, stronger, more connected communities where people feel proud, supported and included.
  3. Be a genuine voice for everyday Hutt people, making sure their concerns are heard and acted on.
