Why I'm standing

I believe my experience on council is an asset, helping new councillors come to terms with their responsibilities and how the systems work, but also listening to their ideas and supporting them to achieve their objectives. I have experience with an open mind.

About me

I want to ensure people have a fair process, even if they don't get what they are seeking. I've led our hearings and district licensing committees for a number of years and am looking to mentor our next group of leaders in these fields.

My priorities
  1. Focus on fair and open decision-making across all responsibilities.
  2. Mentor new councillors to be the best in their roles, understanding their responsibilities.
  3. Lead developing a regional spatial plan that gets good outcomes for Invercargill.
