Invercargill City Council

The Invercargill City Council provides local services and facilities, such as public transport, rubbish and recycling, libraries, parks, and recreation facilities. It also makes decisions about building and planning, local regulations, and infrastructure, such as water supply and sewerage. The council is made up of 12 councillors and the mayor. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I stand not for money or status, but for the opportunity to serve our community with dedication, integrity and listening. I want to ensure ALL residents, whatever ethnicity or age, renters and homeowners have their voices heard and needs considered. My goal is practical, fair and transparent decision-making that strengthens our city, supports local families and businesses, and leaves a positive legacy of good governance for future generations.

I am a compassionate celebrant and worked with social services. Am committed to serving our WHOLE community. Have served Invercargill with care, experience and dedication to those in need. I am community-focused, compassionate, with a servants heart. I am here to support every voice where possible.

My priorities
  1. Manage floods, improve waste systems and support building owners to help residents maintain safe homes.
  2. Support waste and resource management by promoting a clean environment and backing homeowners with clear guidance and help.
  3. Support private building owners by backing homeowners to care for and improve their properties.
