Why I'm standing

I have completed my first term as a councillor. We have made progress in the CBD, the Museum project, council finances and Bluff, while keeping rate increases low. I've worked hard to achieve the best outcomes for Invercargill and Bluff. My priorities are Bluff and South City, completing the Museum, enhancing recreation areas and ensuring cost-effective, efficient council services. A vote for me is a vote for strong governance and prudent financial management.

About me

I have worked hard as chair of both finance and infrastructure and as the council representative on the Bluff community board to make our city the best city in NZ to live and work. I am committed to continuing this work.

My priorities
  1. Prudent financial decision making to keep rates affordable.
  2. Cost-effective and efficient delivery of council services.
  3. Economic growth which leads to more ratepayers and spreads the cost of service across a wider base.
