Why I'm standing

I'm seeking re-election because I know that my voice is needed around the council table. As a parent with young children, I can see how those in my stage of life are often under-represented in council decision-making. Our community needs steady, pragmatic leadership that advocates for the entire community and doesn't buy into the political back-and-forth that prevents real progress from being made.

About me

I work constructively around the council table, maintaining a close relationship with our staff and strong connections to the community – all to get good things done for Nelson. As a young councillor, I bring a fresh perspective, but I also have experience in competently navigating complex issues. Instead of having a fixed agenda, I come with a genuine commitment to representing all of Nelson fairly, making informed decisions, and building trust with our community.

My priorities
  1. Ensure that Nelson is the best place to raise a family.
  2. Keep council focused to deliver quality services with minimal impact on rates.
  3. Consider Nelson's most vulnerable community members in every council decision.
