Why I'm standing

I chose to live in Nelson because it was vibrant, creative and full of opportunity. Since COVID, that spark has dimmed. Young people are leaving. Innovation is stalling. I believe in Nelson and I believe we can get back on track by focusing on things that matter.

About me

I believe Nelson is changing as about a quarter of our people are immigrants or expats. I am one of them. We bring new perspectives, skills and energy. I believe that is something to celebrate and represent. I have worked in auditing, finance, tax and urban planning. I believe in accountability, evidence-based decisions and real action.

My priorities
  1. Look into creating a comprehensive cycle network policy and implement it.
  2. Make our roads livable again with less noise and pollution, less traffic lights and more self-regulation.
  3. Make rates equitable with no per house charges, ideally higher rates for speculators and lower for homes.
